Welcome to International Sports Day 2011!
International Sports Day is a one day event celebrating and promoting sport, that takes place at the University of Huddersfield as the first part of International week (21-25.03.2011). The aim of this event is to join students of all nationalities together, this means the local ones, the European and International as well, and to enjoy a day full of different types of sports.
Our aims also include:
- To invite students from all countries that are studying at the University of Huddersfield
- To enjoy a whole day of different types of sport
- To experience a wider variety of sporting activities for the students
- To help international students find friends from theirs and other countries
- To find the champion of the International Sports Day 2011
- To make this event an ongoing tradition at the University of Huddersfield for years to came
The University of Huddersfield is currently attended by more than 20 different nationalities that offer us a unique opportunity to meet our aims.
The programme of our event includes sports such as volley-ball, basketball, football and squash but students could play even more games such as table tennis or they could visit the gym in the University Sports Hall.
All players will get free T-shirts, refreshment during the day, free entrance to Zumba session and to After-party in the Graduate, where they could enjoy a fabulous music performance by one of the local bands. There will also be prize-giving for individual sports tournaments and the presentation of pictures from whole day.
The Final prize-giving of the main trophy will be held on 25th March, at the end of International Week.
How can you register your team?
Your team could win the whole championship and your country can be proud of you!!! Even better you could beat the staff team that will participate in the International Sports Day.

1.) Pick up a REGISTRATION FORM:
- at the reception in the University Sports Hall
- at the Izone in the Student`s Union
- on the webpage www.hud.ac.uk/internationalweek or download it here: Registration.doc (44 kB)
- via email at isportsday@hud.ac.uk or funhud@gmail.com or marketahejlova@seznam.cz
2.) Fill the Registration form and SEND IT BY EMAIL at isportsday@hud.ac.uk or funhud@gmail.com or marketahejlova@seznam.cz
3.) Print the Registration form and BRING IT TO THE IZONE in the Student`s Union and PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE £20 per team (including refreshment during the tournament, T-shirts, entrance to after-party).
4.) CHECK the website www.isportsday.webnode.cz and your contact email where you will find more information about the International Sports Day

International Sports Day 2011 is big event that needs help in the preparation and during the day. If you want to volunteer and participate in the International Sports Day 2011 in any way please contact Mia via

Sponsoring International Sports Day 2011
There are a number of great ways in which you can sponsor the event.
Full Event Sponsorship
Full event sponsorship gives you the best coverage of International Sports Day. Your logo will be displayed during the whole event and the name will be referenced in all press releases and also on the our webpage and facebook profile.
Refreshment
The refreshment is one of the main issues that we need to solve. You can provide us with discounts, vouchers or even free food for players. Your name will be promoted by banners in the Sports Hall during the tournament and referenced in press, websites and our facebook account.
Prize Donation
We are looking for small prizes and certificates for all players that participate in our event.
